Commercial Business Development

If you have an idea for a new business or are planning some changes in your existing business, we can provide assistance and a business plan can be developed for you.

Commercial Business Loan Proposals

Assistance to business owners in obtaining least cost financing for all types of business.

Business owners are provided with advice on options for financing as well as negotiations with lenders and other sources of capital.

Business loan proposals will include a written report that can be used to approach a number of lenders and obtain the most competitive source of financing for the business.

Specialized Business Planning Services

The Farm Financial Assessment and Action Plan process includes identification of more detailed business planning requirements for the farm family. Each individual farm family is eligible for up to $8,000 in funding for business and succession planning based on 50% of the total cost of the consulting activity.

Intergenerational Transfer Planning Services

The specialized business planning services can be specifically used to develop a succession plan for the farm business. This plan would include the business plan for the transfer of management control and assets to the next generation and would include completing a checklist of the legal and tax management issues to be addressed in planning an orderly transfer of assets and assistance in developing a plan that will meet the present owners personal and business goals.

Planning and Assessment for Value Added Enterprises

The Farm Financial Assessment and Action Plan process may include some ideas for adding some business ventures to the farm operation that would enhance the profitability of the family business. Each individual farm family is eligible for up to $10,000 in funding for business feasibility assessment and comprehensive business planning for specific enterprises.

Group Projects

Groups of farm producers are eligible for funding under the Specialized Business Planning Services and Planning and Assessment for Value-Added Enterprises for up to $25,000 for projects.
